Running – my body does not appreciate it the way it used to,

Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, sports, military, interests, etc.).
My oldest son and his family live in Jacksonville and my youngest is a student at UGA. Thanks to covid I was able to get cheap airline tickets to fly a couple of times to Jax and my youngest came back home to finish Spring semester. Yay – more time with both this year.

What were you doing before you joined CS&F? 
Riding my mountain bike, hitting up the trails at Sawnee Mountain Preserve and moving weights around in my basement. 

What was the first CD you bought?  
Must not have been very important…..could not tell ya.

Favorite Cheat meal?
When I bake it is hard to resist anything hot out of the oven. Especially if the baked treat has chocolate.

What were your goals when joining CS&F and have you achieved them?
When I joined I was looking for new ideas with my exercise routine. I was interested in the challenge of a Crossfit workout, improving my overall health with a focus on strength. My goal was to be healthy, I will always be working on my goal – one day at a time.

Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here?  
Relationships with people I would not have met otherwise.

What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Cumming Strength and Fitness?  
Enjoy the challenges of the class. I still say – Hell Ya I did that – after class.

Something we might not know about you or your journey is?
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. My treatment plan included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. I have been on a health journey since
my diagnosis. I believe good health gives us immeasurable freedom.
