My goals were pretty simple, get healthier and stronger…in that order, and yes I have achieved both!
Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here?
It’s fun and rewarding to see your consistency in the gym translate into results. Achieving a PR or mastering a challenging movement are two of the many ways to see your work paying off. 2022 was a fun year as I mastered some new movements and hit several PR’s.
What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Cumming Strength and Fitness?
1. Challenge yourself to be consistent, set a goal of showing up “x” number of times a week. Commitment club is a great tool for this but doesn’t have to be your starting point.
The benefits of showing up consistently are not just physical. It also allows you to tap into the community, and as shown in the picture I submitted, you will meet like minded people and form strong friendships! #dadbodsquad
2. I highly encourage new members to at least attend, but rather volunteer as a judge at CS&F hosted competitions. These events are an awesome time, a great way to meet new people and become more knowledgeable about crossfit.
3. Lastly, don’t be afraid to ask questions of coaches and members, people are ready and willing to help!
Something we might not know about you is?
I have 2 siblings and we were each born on 3 different continents (Africa, Europe and North America)
