March Athlete of the Month: Janet Mirzoyan-Grantham

When did you start with Cumming Strength and Fitness?
September of 2020

Favorite Workout? 
Don’t know the names but one that sweat is dripping from my eyelashes literally!

Least Favorite Workout? 
Involves writs pain – push press, cleans and push ups.

Wall balls

Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, sports, military, interests, etc.). 
I am originally from Armenia. I am married to My partner in crime Nazareth for 10 years now. I have 2 boys; Alexander 8 a CT&F youth member and Jacob 3. I am a software project manager for a Fintech company. I am very active in my church and do a lot of volunteering work. I love traveling and hosting parties. My newest interest- learn about plants/flowers – to make my front/back yard pretty?… 

What were you doing before you joined CS&F? 
I was at LA Fitness but I realized I needed a gym with a coach at every class. I drive by CS&F 4 times a day and kept seeing people running. So one day in August I was passing the gym and saw the  4:30 class running and just got mad at myself and said that’s it I’m calling this place. I’m tired of seeing these people exercise and I sit here and get fat. So called the gym got in touch with Alex and I do not regret! 

Favorite music to workout to? 
Techno/house music

Favorite Cheat meal? 
Probably fried chicken tenders. 

What were your goals when joining CS&F and have you achieved them? 
To lose some weight but get my muscles back so I could lift and carry my 70lbs Alex. Yes, I have and now I am working on my upper body strength.

Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here?  
Yes. We had one of those 10m for time workouts and after seeing the workout I thought I would never finish. But coach Jordan ensured I would. Okay I finished it under 7 minutes and I was shocked and surprised what consistent attendance can do. 

What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Cumming Strength and Fitness?  
Do not be intimidated, listen to your body and  work with the coaches for improvements and modification. 

Something we might not know about you is? 
Ummm, I don’t know. I speak 3 languages and I am always cold!
