Coaches Spotlight: Jill Thornton

1. When did you start coaching?

2. How do the certifications that you hold help you as a coach?
They give me a deeper knowledge and understanding of the movements and the methods that we follow. They have helped to groom my coaching eye for more detailed feedback. I love gaining knowledge and learning how to take my coaching to the next level for our members. 

3. What is your favorite aspect of coaching?

Watching our members get better and achieve things they never thought possible.  This happens so often at our gym and each time someone surprises themselves I tell them “you didn’t surprise me. I knew you had it in you the whole time”. I love witnessing people push their fitness boundaries.  

4. What advice would you give to someone considering CS&F? or What advice would you give to someone just beginning their fitness journey with CS&F?  …you guys choose!

My advice is to fully commit. Commit to your goals and your coach. It’s so easy in life to start something new and quit when it gets hard. We are here to help folks overcome those obstacles and see them all the way through to their goals. 

5. Tell us one thing we don’t know about you or a fun fact about yourself!

I have 4 screws in my jaw that holds it together!
