To some degree I’ve been coaching for over 20 years – yikes! I started off coaching group fitness classes in highschool, and my love for fitness and exercise and digging deeper to learn more grew from there!
Each certification and continuing education opportunity adds value to my interactions in a one-on-one environment and in group classes. There are always nuggets of information to gather and apply uniquely to some scenario that we encounter. I’m passionate about good movement and injury prevention on one hand, but also I have gained so much by researching and learning about nutrition due to my own health journey.
I love seeing people overcome obstacles. This might look different for different people. For some it’s the lightbulb moment of picking up a technique or new skill while for others it’s a much longer journey to overcome diagnosed health concerns, mental health struggles or months/years of being de-conditioned. Whatever the scenario – I oftentimes feel like I can relate…but more than anything, I just want to help.
Don’t get caught comparing your journey to any one else! Every person that walks through our doors has a unique story – their own background, experiences, struggles, etc. While your story is unique, we have likely seen something similar and would love learn where you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to BE! We truly want to help YOU on an individual basis – right where you are NOW!
I completed a semester abroad and lived in London, England for 3 months. While I was there I had the opportunity to try out and play for the University’s Futbol (soccer) team. |
