April Athlete of the Month: Prashanth Duvoor

  • When did you start with Cumming Strength and Fitness? Summer of 2020
  • Favorite Workout?  Someone wrote that perfect workout with walking lunges and farmers carry the other week, that’s it. 
  • Least Favorite Workout?  None. I just show up and do all workouts as prescribed.
  • Favorite Movement? Single arm overhead kB squats, 😉. It doesn’t exist in the CS&F programming manual 😂.
  • Least favorite Movement? None 
  • Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, sports, military, interests, etc.). Y’all are welcome to come talk to me to know me; this ain’t no Instagram or Facebook 😉.
  • What were you doing before you joined CS&F? In another CrossFit gym, most of them closed down around this area, good for CS&F 😉.
  • Favorite music to workout to?  All I listen to in my life is country music, so all y’all’s coach’s playlist sounds the same to me 😂.
  • Favorite Cheat meal? Carrot cake, ice cream, recently, margaritas.
  • What were your goals when joining CS&F and have you achieved them? My goals are a moving target, it’s complicated 😂. However, I’ve utilized the resources at CS&F well.
  • Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here?  Well, to be honest I was hoping to win the athlete of the decade or at least the athlete of the year😉. But I am still happy to be the athlete of the month, so this is it 😉.
  • What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Cumming Strength and Fitness?  This is a technical sport/hobby. If you spend time and effort in learning the technique and form first, it will be a fun process after that. Ask a lot of questions to your coaches. Respect the barbell. Do a lot of mobility and accessory work.
  • Something we might not know about you is? Y’all know nothing abt me 😂. Btw, there’s a bunch of us who hangout after Friday afternoon classes, having a beer or two, y’all are welcome to join us.
