When did you start with Cumming Strength and Fitness?
3 1/2 years
If I have a short period of time, I would pick Diane. The Seven is my favorite LONG workout.
Least Favorite Workout?
I really do not have one, but anything with running is not at the top of my list.
All those that most people do not like – HSPUs, burpees, wall balls, box jump overs…
Least Favorite Movement?
Not my least favorite, but most frustrating – Ring MUs (one of those things you say you will work on and then forget about until they show up in the Open or a competition).
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Kevin and I have been married for 2 years. We have 5 kids (14, 13, 11, 10 and 8) between the two of us. They keep us VERY busy. I work from home (that is why you get to see me at noon) as a project manager for a database marketing company.
What were you doing before you joined CS&F?
I was doing CrossFit for 2 years at another local gym. Before that, I had never lifted a barbell before.
What was the first CD you bought?
It was too long ago for me to remember. I think it was actually a cassette tape, not a CD.
Favorite Cheat meal?
What were your goals when joining CS&F and have you achieved them?
Although there are many things I would like to achieve. My main goal is to make sure I show up 4 to 5 times a week.
Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here?
Every day is memorable at CS&F. You could not ask for a better group of people to spend an hour of your day with. My favorite memories are from doing competitions throughout the years. It is always memorable to see people push themselves and do things they did not think possible.
What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Cumming Strength and Fitness?
Be proud of all your accomplishments. Every day is not the same. One day you may crush it and the next wish you did not even show up. Enjoy all those moments.
Something you might not know about me is?
As much as I dislike running now, I did finish the Chicago Marathon back in 2000.
