Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Dislike this question! I’m 31 years old, originally from central Florida, just north of Orlando. I moved to Maryville, TN in ’96 with my parents and sister. Following school, I then moved to GA in 2005. Aside from my part-time job in high school, I’ve only ever worked in public safety. Away from work, I have one daughter, Maddie, who is three years old and is my world; I would venture to say anyone at the 8:30a, 9:30a, or Saturday morning classes has met her consider she’s a social butterfly! Outside of work and the gym, enjoy my time with Maddie as well as family and friends. In the summer, Maddie always drags me to the pool so feel free to join us! In the winter, I try to ski/snowboard whenever possible. That’s what comes to mind.

Do you have any other special memories/ achievements during your time here?
Not a specific memory but rather a group of them. Whenever asked what comes to mind about CS&F, it’s all the events both inside and outside of the box. At the end of the day, the relationships made inside the doors of the facility also carry over to life. From the charity work to the Christmas party, at the end of the day, everyone is more than just someone to work out with, they are family and friends.
What advice would you give to a newbie just joining Cumming Strength and Fitness?
Communicate! Open up and talk to other members. Everyone in the CS&F community wants to see people do well and excel. Ask whenever there is a question and never stop learning!
Something you might not know about me is?
So the name Halligan is also the name of a tool. The Halligan Bar is probably the most common and one of the most often used tools in the fire service. I guess at the end of the day, my career is befitting of my last name.
